Objectives

This module studies the Catalan literary system in its multiple manifestations (production, consumption, dissemination, readership, etc.) and the internal links that are established within it. Attention is paid in particular to the forms of dissemination of old and modern manuscripts and printed materials, and to the adaptation, dissemination and reinterpretation of literary works in non-literary formats (for example, audiovisual, graphic or performative).

The course is organized by alternating master classes and seminars, either through open discussion or student presentation, followed by discussion. 
Writing of individual essays guided by the teacher and with diverse specialization, appropriate to the student, is also encouraged. It emphasizes comparative reading, philological analysis and critical methodology, applicable to the students' future research.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The course will be assessed as follows:

(1) Class participation: 15% course taught at UAB + 15% course taught at UB

(2) Oral presentation (course taught at UB) (35%)

(3) Written exercices (course taught at UAB) (35%)

Reassessment

To be eligible for reassessment, students must have previously been assessed in a set of activities whose combined weighting is equivalent to at least two-thirds of the total continuous assessment grade. Students with a final grade between 3,5 and 5 have the right to reevaluation in a period of reassessment established by the calendar of the course.

On carrying out each evaluation activity, lecturers will inform students (on Moodle) of the procedures to be followed for reviewing all grades awarded, and the date on which such a review will take place.

Single assessment

Students who opt for this modality must take the following tasks:

Oral presentation (UB, 50%)
Written essay (UAB, 50%)

To have access to recovery, it is necessary to have been previously assessed in all the activities, and to have a final grade between 3,5 and 5.

General observations

Students will obtain a "Not assessed/Not submitted" course grade unless they have submitted more than 30% of the assessment items.

In the event of a student committing any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade awarded to an assessment activity, the student will be given a zero for this activity, regardless of any disciplinary process that may take place. In the event of several irregularities in assessment activities of the same subject, the student will be given a zero as the final grade for this subject.

Erasmus and exchange students who request to advance an exam must present a document from their home university justifying their request."

Use of IA

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is not allowed in any of its phases. Any work that includes fragments generated with AI will be considered a lack of academic honesty and may lead to a partial or total penalty in the grade of theactivity, or greater sanctions in serious cases.
