Prerequisites
It is recommended to be familiar with the virtual learning platform in order to follow and interact with the module content. Proficiency in the English language is advised for reading scientific literature. Likewise, it is recommended to have prior knowledge of basic psychological processes and to demonstrate a proactive attitude toward research and work within the field of physical activity and sport.
Objectives
The objective of this module is that the student deepens in the study of the different physiological, psychological, pedagogical and sociological aspects and training theory linked to physical activity and sport:
- Physiological bases of physical activity and sports.
- Psychological bases of physical activity and sports.
- Pedagogical basis of physical activity and sport.
- Social bases of physical activity and sports.

The methodology used is based on addressing the learning process from an open, participatory and constructive environment. Different teaching strategies will be used, directed to the whole class, in small groups and in a personalized way. We want to encourage reflection and the construction of critical knowledge. The assessment system for this module is based on a continuous and formative evaluation model, designed to assess both the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and the development of practical and reflective skills. Throughout the academic term, the following assessment activities will be progressively implemented:
- Multiple-choice test: Aimed at verifying the understanding and assimilation of the core theoretical concepts.
- Assignment preparation and Report design: Practical activities where the acquired knowledge is applied to cases or situations specific to sports psychology through analysis.
- Learning portfolio and Reflective report: Self-assessment documents where evidence of progress will be gathered, showing a critical perspective on the learning process and the usefulness of the contents.
- Oral presentation and Oral defense: Public presentation and reasoned argumentation of the projects carried out, evaluating academic communication skills, clarity, and the ability to respond to questions.
- Synthesis project: A final comprehensive task that integrates, connects, and consolidates the entire set of competencies developed throughout the module.
