In the second part, the goal is for the student to become familiar with the criteria and assessment methods proposed in institutions and curriculum designs to evaluate the learning of a foreign language, particularly Spanish.

In the third part, the course introduces students to Spanish literature in the context of Spanish as a Foreign Language while fostering the development of literary competence through the interpretation, analysis, and critical appreciation of literary texts.

Learning activities and methodology

Title Hours ECTS Learning outcomes
Master classes and seminars 66 2.64 4, 6, 7, 8, 11
Supervised Practices 40 1.6 1, 3, 8
Students' autonomous workload 35 1.4 4, 11

The activities are divided into master class, readings, practices and autonomous work depending on the type of activity: directed, supervised or autonomous. The teacher will carry out practices related to the teaching, the assessment of ELE, and the relationship with the literature.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Assessment

Continuous assessment activities

Title Weight Hours ECTS Learning outcomes
Exam of the second part 20% 3 0.12 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 16, 18
Exam of the first part 60% 3 0.12 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 17
Exam of the third part 20% 3 0.12 4, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15

Three tests about theory will be carried out related to each of the thematic parts at the end of the course, and some questions about readings will be asked. In the case that there is a student abroad will be provided another way to show the contents taught in the subject.

Single assessment

Two tests about theory will be carried out at the same time at the end of the course.

In the event of a student committing any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade awarded to an assessment activity, the student will be given a zero for this activity, regardless of any disciplinary process that may take place. In the event of several irregularities in assessment activities of the same subject, the student will be given a zero as the final grade for this subject.

This subject allows the use of AI technologies as an integral part of the submitted work, provided that the final result reflects a significant contribution from the student in terms of analysis and personal reflection.

The student must clearly (i) identify which parts have been generated using AI technology; (ii) specify the tools used; and (iii) include a critical reflection on how these have influenced the process and final outcome of the activity.

Lack of transparency regarding the use of AI in the assessed activity will be considered academic dishonesty; the corresponding grade may be lowered, or the work may even be awarded a zero. In cases of greater infringement, more serious action may be taken.
