Objectives

  • Know the importance of people in Mobility, as distinct from transport elements.
  • Know how Mobility affects people's road safety.
  • Know international trends in the environment and mobility
  • Know Spanish regulations on sustainable mobility and their implication in the company
  • Know and differentiate the regulations that regulate mobility and road safety issues.
  • Know transport safety.
  • Know the instruments for planning mobility and road safety, applied to the company.
  • Know the sector's guides and the practical aspects necessary to implement a mobility and road safety plan in a company

Learning outcomes

  1. Coordinate the resources of the three main subsystems of the prevention and integral security sector: people, technology and infrastructures.
  2. Use the capacity for analysis and synthesis to solve problems.
  3. Respond to problems applying knowledge to practice.
  4. Students must be capable of applying their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional way and they should have building arguments and problem resolution skills within their area of study.

Contents

The contents of the subject are grouped into Training Blocks that will be developed during the course and complemented with the material that will be available in the bibliography or recommended readings section of the virtual classroom.


1. EVOLUTION FROM TRANSPORT TO MOBILITY.

Concept of mobility. Evolution of mobility models. Mobility in the European Union. White Paper on Transport. Mobility and the City: trends. Effects of mobility and road safety in the workplace.

Relationship between mobility and occupational risk prevention.


2. MOBILITY AND ROAD SAFETY REGULATIONS.

Mobility laws in Europe. Example of France.

Mobility law in Spain and Catalonia. Concepts and analysis of the regulations.

Traffic and circulation regulations. Differences between crimes and infractions.

Risk factors in traffic. Accident rates in Spain and Europe.

European objectives for accidents. Vision Zero.

Driver's permits and licenses. Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP)


3. COMMUTING AND ROAD SAFETY PLANS

Concept, objectives. Design and implementation.

Structure of a Mobility and Safety Plan

Guidelines for creating a Workplace Mobility Plan.

TEACHING LANGUAGE: CASTELLANO

The online courses require a high level of individual work and reading of the manual and documents that are provided as recommended bibliography and that this preparation should lead to individual reflection on the general aspects of mobility and road safety and how to translate it into a concrete reality, such as are the mobility and road safety plans in the company.

Therefore, reading the manual and other documents is essential, in order to raise doubts and intervene in the possible forums that are held, as well as active participation in face-to-face activities through Teams that are carried out during the course.

This course aims to cover general knowledge about environmental issues and traffic accidents and how it has a practical impact on the reality of companies.

To achieve the final objective, which is the realization and implementation of a sustainable and safe mobility through an action plan, it is important to have a broad vision of mobility concepts and their future trends, as well as the effects that social changes, legal and environmental factors believe in the reality of companies.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Due to unforeseen circumstances that prevent the normal development of the course, the teaching staff may modify the course assessment system.

Continuous Assessment

The assessment system will consist of the preparation and submission of assignments. A written exam must also be administered at the end of the course.

Assignments must have a grade of 2.5 or higher to be included in the continuous assessment. The grade to pass the continuous assessment will be the sum of the theoretical assessment or exam plus the assignments. To pass the continuous assessment, this average must be 5 or higher.

The assignment to create a "Mobility and Road Safety Plan Outline for the Company" is an individual assignment and is one of the basic objectives of the course and part of the continuous assessment.

For the final exam, only pens, pencils, or other writing instruments and ID cards are permitted. Phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and any other electronic devices are not allowed.

Recovery Exam

Students who do not pass the subject, achieving a grade of 5 out of 10 (total), according to the criteria established in the two previous sections, may take a final exam provided they have been assessed on a set of activities whose weight is equivalent to at least two-thirds of the total grade for the subject.

If they have not been assessed on these two-thirds of the activities because they did not take the assessments, they will receive a grade of "Not Present" and will not be eligible to take the final recovery exam.

If the final exam is passed, the subject will be considered passed with a maximum grade of 5, regardless of the exam grade.

Changing the Date of a Test or Exam

Students who need to change an assessment date must submit a request by completing the form found in the EPSI Tutoring Moodle space.

Once completed, the form must be sent to the course instructor and the Degree Coordinator.

Grade Review

At the time of each assessment activity, instructors will inform students of the grade review procedures.

Other Considerations

Without prejudice to any other disciplinary measures deemed appropriate, and in accordance with current academic regulations, if a student commits any irregularity that could lead to a significant change in the grade for an assessment, that assessment will be graded with a 0, regardless of any disciplinary proceedings that may be initiated. In the event of multiple irregularities in the assessment of a single subject, the final grade for that subject will be 0.

If unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent the normal development of the subject, the instructors may modify both the methodology and the assessment of the subject. If, during the grading process, there are indications that an activity or assignment has been completed using AI-assisted responses, the instructor may supplement the activity with a personal interview to verify the authorship of the text.


For this subject, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is permitted exclusively for support tasks, such as bibliographic or information searches, text correction, or translations. Students must clearly identify which parts were generated using this technology, specify the tools used, and include a critical reflection on how these tools influenced the process and the final result of the activity. Lack of transparency regarding the use of AI in this assessable activity will be considered a lack of academic honesty and may result in a partial or full penalty on the activity grade, or other sanctions. older in severe cases.

At the beginning of the course and throughout its development, a PDF document will be provided which is considered the manual or reference for the subject and will be available in the Virtual Classroom, as well as the rest of the basic bibliography of the course, in addition to the readings that will be provided and should be supplemented with the reference guides that will also be provided in the virtual classroom of the subject.
