The learning process combines direct intervention with patients, discussion and reflective analysis of cases (pre- and post-session), and the development of professional competencies through theoretical sessions focused on therapeutic skills and key aspects of clinical practice.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The detection of unethical behavior or conduct incompatible with the professional code of ethics of speech therapy will be sufficient grounds to fail the course, even if a grade higher than 5 is obtained. Additionally, attendance of at least 80% of the sessions will be required.

EV1. This consists of preparing a case history (anamnesis) for one of the cases covered during Practicum I. This component has a weight of 20% of the final grade and will be carried out in the classroom. It consists of a written group assignment to be submitted in person.

EV2. This consists of preparing an assessment report for one of the cases covered during Practicum I. This component has a weight of 20% of the final grade and will be carried out in the classroom. It consists of a written group assignment to be submitted in person.

Digital tool EV1, EV2, and EV3. One to two weeks after submission; the exact submission date may vary depending on the group to which each student is assigned.
In class EV4 and EV5 Whenever possible, these will be carried out during the regular sessions.
One-on-one sessions

Students who have not passed the course may be eligible for resit, provided they have completed assessment components corresponding to at least two-thirds of the total weight and have achieved an average grade of 3.5. The resit system may only improve the grade already obtained during the course and will focus on those learning components where the student has not demonstrated satisfactory performance (<5.0 points). EV5 is not recoverable due to its nature. The maximum grade for any recovered component will be 5.0 points.

Definition of an assessable student:

A student who has submitted learning evidence equivalent to 4.0 points (40%) or more will be recorded as “assessable.”

Students enrolled for the second time or beyond will not be assessed through a single, non-recoverable comprehensive test.

This course does not offer a single assessment option.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

For this course, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is allowed exclusively for support tasks, such as bibliographic or information searches, text correction, or translations. Students must clearly identify which parts have been generated using this technology, specify the tools used, and include a critical reflection on how these have influenced both the process and the final outcome of the activity. Lack of transparency in the use of AI in this assessed activity will be considered a breach of academic integrity and may result in partial or total penalties in the grade, or more severe sanctions in serious cases.

AI must not be used to input sensitive data related to the observed cases. The detection of unethical behavior or conduct incompatible with the professional code of ethics of speech therapy will be sufficient grounds to fail the course, even if a grade higher than 5 is obtained.
