Objectives
Analyze the impact of digitalization on management and business models in the sports industry.
Identify digital tools and technologies applicable to sports organizations, events, and services.
Evaluate environmental, social, and economic sustainability strategies in sports contexts.
Design innovative proposals that integrate digital transformation and sustainability criteria in the sports sector.
Develop critical judgment to interpret trends, opportunities, and risks arising from digitalization and sustainability in the sports industry.
Learning outcomes
- (CA15) Apply new technologies, especially digitisation, to decision-making, especially in (intra)entrepreneurial projects.
- (CA16) Compare and contrast different ways (traditional and new) to offer products and services in the sports market and identify the potential market.
- (CA17) Question the different possibilities of business models whilst taking into consideration the aspects related to Industry 4.0 and environmental sustainability.
- (KA21) Recognise new market trends in the sports industry.
- (KA22) Identify the main current technological solutions that can be applied to the sports industry, as well as those that will be possible in the near future.
- (SA33) Implement activities using new technologies available for existing products and services in the sports industry in order to strengthen competitiveness.
- (SA34) Come up with proposals for new business opportunities based on new trends in the sports industry.

In the case of the online modality, the methodology will be adapted so that students can achieve all the learning outcomes specified in this guide while also developing the competencies and skills specific to the subject taught. To this end, the resources available in the virtual classrooms will be optimized to maximize student engagement and motivation (forums, debates, simulation games, case studies, online presentations, etc.).
