Prerequisits
Un títol universitari en els àmbits de Biologia, Bioquímica, Biotecnologia, Farmàcia, Veterinària o Medicina. Es requereix acreditar el domini de la llengua anglesa, amb un nivell mínim C1 del Marc Comú Europeu de Referència per a les Llengües.
Objectius
- Comprendre la genètica bàsica del ratolí i els mecanismes que controlen els processos embrionaris.
- Conèixer l’etiologia i el significat de les anomalies del desenvolupament.
- Reconèixer i comprendre la forma, l’estructura, la disposició i les relacions dels òrgans i sistemes del ratolí.
- Identificar microscòpicament els teixits i òrgans del ratolí.
- Utilitzar correctament i de manera apropiada la terminologia embriològica, anatòmica i histològica.
- Integrar la morfologia del ratolí a través dels nivells orgànic, cel·lular i subcel·lular.
- Comprendre els principis fonamentals de la patologia general.
- Identificar alteracions estructurals dels òrgans mitjançant histologia i immunohistoquímica per correlacionar-les amb processos patològics específics.

La metodologia utilitzada en el procés d'ensenyament i aprenentatge de l'assignatura es basa en què l'estudiant treballi la informació que se li posa al seu abast per diferents mitjans. La funció del professor és ajudar-lo en aquesta tasca, no només amb informació o indicant-li on pot obtenir-la, sinó també dirigint i supervisant que el procés d'aprenentatge es desenvolupi de manera eficaç. En sintonia amb aquestes idees, i d'acord amb els objectius de l'assignatura, el desenvolupament del curs es basa en les següents activitats:
- Classes magistrals: Mitjançant les classes magistrals l'estudiant adquireix els coneixements científics propis de la disciplina, que haurà de completar amb l'estudi personal i autònom dels temes explicats.
- Pràctiques laboratori: Les classes pràctiques apropen els models teòrics a la realitat i reforcen, completen i permeten aplicar els coneixements adquirits a les classes magistrals. A les pràctiques de laboratori, mitjançant el treball en grups reduïts, s'estudien les ossos, es fan disseccions i s’observen preparacions histològiques. A partir de l’observació d'aquests espècimens l'estudiant adquireix un concepte tridimensional de la disposició estructural, que permetrà comprendre, per exemple, el moviment de les articulacions, la biomecànica dels músculs, la distribució dels vasos i nervis, o la juxtaposició d'estructures adjacents. A les sessions pràctiques l'alumne desenvoluparà, a més, destresa manual i habilitats com la curiositat i la capacitat d'observació. Es controlarà l'assistència a les pràctiques.
El seguiment de l'aprenentatge de l'estudiant tindrà lloc mitjançant diferents proves d'avaluació que es desenvoluparan a les sales de dissecció i microscòpia. Aquestes proves permetran seguir l'aprofitament dels continguts de les sessions pràctiques i també la integració amb els continguts adquirits a les classes magistrals.
El material docent utilitzat a la assignatura estarà disponible a la plataforma Moodle.

L’avaluació es durà a terme de manera contínua al llarg del mòdul mitjançant preguntes als estudiants durant les classes teòriques i les sessions pràctiques, les quals representaran un 10% de la nota final del mòdul.
Al final del mòdul s’establiran dos controls finals. El primer serà un examen pràctic oral sobre espècimens reals (ossos, disseccions i làmines histològiques digitals) utilitzats durant la docència. Les qualificacions obtingudes en aquest examen oral representaran un 40% de la nota final.
Per poder accedir a l’examen teòric, serà necessari obtenir una nota mínima de 4,5 punts sobre 10 en l’examen pràctic. L’examen teòric consistirà en una prova de preguntes de resposta múltiple i representarà un 50% de la nota final.
La nota mínima per aprovar el mòdul és de 5.
