1.The coordinator will provide students with a list containing the Department professors' research lines, from which students must choose the research line for their Master's Thesis (TFM).

2.Students must complete the form entitled **TFM TOPIC – PREFERENCES**, indicating three topics and three different professors in order of preference.

3.The coordinator will review all requests and publish the assignment of the topic and supervisor. Students who wish to request a review of their assignment should contact the coordinator.

4.Once the student and the TFM supervisor have precisely defined the TFM topic and the work plan, the student must submit their TFM project to the coordinator according to the TFM schedule and using the form entitled **TFM PROJECT**.

5.The student and the TFM supervisor will establish the working method and the frequency of the meetings they must hold to ensure the work is carried out properly.

6.A draft of the TFM must be sent to the supervisor by the date specified in the TFM schedule.

7.The student must submit the TFM in PDF format, with the supervisor's approval, by the date indicated in the TFM schedule.

8.The supervisor will submit an evaluation report on the supervised TFM on the same date set for the student's submission of the TFM. Students will be informed of the items the supervisor must address in the form entitled **SUPERVISOR'S REPORT**. This report is confidential and will be read only by the members of the committee responsible for evaluating the TFM.

9.Students will publicly defend their TFM during the month of July on the date established by the TFM coordination.

10.In very exceptional cases, and with prior authorization from the coordination, the TFM may be defended in September.

11.The TFM guide and schedule will be published on the virtual campus at the beginning of the academic year.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The Master's Thesis (TFM) will consist of a written paper of 35 pages (2,100 characters without spaces per page), excluding appendices, and must comply with academic conventions. The TFM will be written in Spanish. For assessment, both a written paper and its public, in-person presentation are required. The mandatory oral defense will take place before the closing date for July grade submissions (or, exceptionally, in September, before the academic year's records are closed). The oral presentation of the TFM will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes (worth 2 points). The assessment of the written TFM and the oral presentation will be reflected in a rubric completed by a panel of two or three members. This panel will take into account the final supervision report.

The assessment rubrics will evaluate the following aspects of the written TFM and the oral presentation:

· Oral defense (2 points): Organization and clarity of the presentation; accuracy, fluency, and linguistic richness; *actio* and/or optimal use of supporting materials; appropriateness of the presentation to the TFM content and the allotted time (maximum 15 minutes); and appropriate and relevant responses to the panel's questions.

· Written paper (8 points): (1) Research and study conception and design (5 points); (2) Written execution of the discourse (2 points); and (3) Compliance with the academic style and TFM format (1 point).

The TFM will be considered non-assessable if the student has not completed the minimum number of supervision meetings with the supervisor or the required submissions, if it is submitted after the established deadline, if it does not have the supervisor's approval for the defense, if it does not comply with the TFM format, or if the oral defense does not take place.

Honors (*Matrícula de Honor*) may be awarded to the TFM that has obtained the highest grade, upon the recommendation of the assessment panel. If there are more candidates than distinctions available, the Master's Teaching Committee will determine which of the eligible papers will receive the Honors distinction.

If the student commits any irregularity that may lead to a significant alteration of the grade for an assessment activity (copying, plagiarism, undocumented use of AI, etc.), that assessment activity will be graded with a 0, regardless of any disciplinary proceedings that may be initiated. If multiple irregularities occur in the assessment activities of the same course, the final grade for that course will be 0.

Use of AI: For this course, restricted use of AI is permitted for support tasks (literature searches, translation, linguistic correction). Students must identify which parts of their work have been generated using AI and which specific tools have been used. Any use that exceeds these permitted purposes will be considered fraudulent and may result in failing the course.
