Prerequisites
It is recommended to have taken the courses Projecte Integral I & II and be taking the courses Avaluació d'impacte ambiental & Contaminació del medi ambient.
Objectives
Projecte Integral III aims to address several case studies of anthropogenic impacts in the Mediterranean context using the academic training received during the semester and prior years. A 3-day field trip will be conducted in the lower course of the Ebre river where several environmental conflicts will be analyzed. Knowledge from different disciplines will be integrated to capture the complexity of the studied system. The participation of experts to give specialized seminars related to the topic of study will be fostered. The students will give an oral presentation in groups about a case study of anthropogenic impacts in Terres de l'Ebre and surroundings.

This course is divided into theory sessions, practice sessions in the classroom, a field trip, and seminars. The learning will be approached through the analysis of real case studies of anthropogenic impacts and the presentation of a group project (oral presentation) about a specific case of anthropogenic impact in the lower course of the Ebre river.

Assessment is based on three components: a group project presentation (55%), a test at the end of the semester (30%), and the completion of a fieldwork report together with the processing of the data collected during the field trip (15%).
To pass the course, students must obtain an average final grade of at least 5.0 (out of 10) and a minimum grade of 4.0 (out of 10) in each assessment component. To be evaluated, students must attend the field trip and the project's oral presentation, submit the fieldwork report, and take the test. Otherwise, the students will have a final grade of NOT EVALUATED. This course does not offer the option of single assessment.
For students repeating the course, the field trip will not be mandatory. Regarding the assessment, students may choose to retain the grades obtained in the previous academic year for the group project and the fieldwork report/data processing (grades will be retained for one academic year only).
Second chance examination: the students who have not achieved the minimum grades can take a second chance test.
In this course, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is permitted for the development of the group project, provided that the outcome reflects a substantial contribution from students in terms of analysis and personal reflection. Students must clearly identify which parts of their work have been generated using AI technologies, specify the tools employed, and include a critical reflection on how these tools have influenced both the process and the outcome of the activity. Failure to disclose the use of AI will be considered a breach of academic integrity and may result in a penalty in the assessment of the activity or more severe sanctions in cases of serious misconduct.
