Teaching language: Spanish

The UAB Virtual Classroom (Moodle) platform will be used regularly for regular contacts with students, providing documentation, presentation and delivery of continuous assessment work.

The online methodology means that students must work individually on the content of the syllabus and that in the guided virtual sessions the doubts about the subject, the practical cases, the evaluation tests, etc. will be resolved.

A total of three sessions of two hours each are expected to be held during the course.

The teaching methodology will be adapted to the sessions organized through the TEAMS virtual meeting platform.

Tutorials with teachers will be arranged by email.

Continuous Assessment

PAC 1: (represents a total of 20% of the final grade)

A research project corresponding to the contents of Block 1 (the project, with a maximum length of 10 pages, represents 10% of the final grade)

The research must be presented through the platform.

Submission of two exercises and one outline related to the subject content (represents 10% of the final grade)

PAC 2: (represents a total of 20% of the final grade)

A research project corresponding to the contents of Blocks 2 and 3 (the project, with a maximum length of 10 pages, represents 10% of the final grade)

The research must be presented through the platform.

Submission of two exercises and one outline related to the subject content (represents 10% of the final grade)

Final Continuous Assessment Exam (theoretical/practical) consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions (represents 40% of the final grade) and the resolution of a practical case (represents 20% of the final grade). Final grade weight: 60%.

The tests/exams may be written and/or oral at the discretion of the teaching staff.

The final exam or assessment test will be held in person, except in exceptional circumstances that prevent it.

Single Assessment

Students who opt for single assessment will take a final synthesis exam covering all the course content (under the same conditions as continuous assessment, 60%) and will submit or be evaluated on the course PECs, but will not be required to present the research projects (40%).

The date for this test and/or submissions will be the same as scheduled for the continuous assessment exam.

The same resit system will apply as for continuous assessment.

Assessment of students in second or subsequent enrolments

Students repeating the course must take the scheduled tests and exams and submit the course assignment on the dates indicated in the Moodle classroom.

Resit Exam

If the course is not passed according to the previously mentioned criteria (continuous assessment), a resit exam may be taken on the date scheduled in the timetable, covering all course contents.

To be eligible for the resit, students must have previously been assessed through a set of activities whose weight is at least two thirds of the total course grade.

However, the grade recorded in the student's transcript will be a maximum of 5 (Pass).

Students repeating the course must follow the same assessment criteria in accordance with the guide.

Change of date for a test or exam

Students who need to change an assessment date must submit a request by completing the document available in the EPSI Tutoring Moodle space.

Once completed, the document must be sent to the course teaching staff and the Degree coordination.

Review

At the time of each assessment activity, the teaching staff will inform students of the mechanisms for reviewing grades.

For students under single assessment, the review process will be the same.

Not assessable:

In accordance with point 9 of article 266 of the UAB Academic Regulations, when it is considered that the student has not provided sufficient evidence for assessment, the course will be graded as not assessable.

A student will be considered not assessable when they have not been previously assessed through a set of activities whose weight equals at least one third of the total course grade or if they do not submit the PECs.

Other considerations - Plagiarism

Without prejudice to other disciplinary measures deemed appropriate, and in accordance with the current academic regulations, if a student commits any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade of an assessment activity, that activity will be graded as 0, regardless of any disciplinary procedure that may be initiated.

If several irregularities occur in the assessment activities of the same course, the final grade for that course will be 0.

If unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent the normal development of the course, the teaching staff may modify both the methodology and the assessment.

If during marking there are indications that an activity or assignment has been completed using AI-assisted responses, the teacher may complement the activity with a personal interview to verify authorship.

Review of assessment activities:

At the time of each assessment activity, the teacher will inform students (via Moodle) of the procedure and date for reviewing grades.

Use of AI

In this course, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is allowed as part of the development of assignments, provided that the final result reflects a significant contribution from the student in analysis and personal reflection.

Students must clearly identify which parts have been generated using this technology, specify the tools used, and include a critical reflection on how these have influenced the process and final outcome of the activity.

Lack of transparency in the use of AI will be considered a breach of academic integrity and may result in a penalty in the activity grade or more severe sanctions in serious cases.
