Course Schedule. Despite being listed as a semester-long course, the development timeline is annual due to the public defense of the TFG (Bachelor's Thesis) at the end of the second semester. Tutoring sessions will take place throughout the annual academic year. During the course, the subject coordination will organize a series of meetings to explain the objectives of the work and the tutor assignment procedure. The final version of the TFG must be submitted to the coordination no later than June 11, 2027, through the Moodle classroom, along with the tutoring tracking form and the signed commitment of originality. Additionally, the submission must be made through the TFE application, including all documentation. This submission will serve as the official record.

Choice of Topic and Tutor. Students are free to choose their own topic and may also request supervision from specific professors within the History department. The final decision to accept the tutoring of the TFG rests with the professors. Furthermore, there are specific limitations on the number of TFGs that can be supervised by faculty in certain areas of knowledge, which will be communicated during information sessions. The final assignment of topic and tutor will be officially communicated to both faculty and students by the course coordination. The deadline for submitting the tutoring assignment form is October 10, 2026.

Development of Tutoring Sessions. Given the diversity of TFG topics and methodologies, there is a development protocol that serves as a task plan for both students and professors. The mandatory minimum of four tutoring sessions is as follows:

• First session: To finalize the TFG topic with the student, define its scope, and establish an approximate schedule for the various tasks. In this session, students will be instructed to find the necessary bibliography and documentation. This must be completed before September 30, 2026.
• Second session: The bibliography provided by the student will be discussed (and completed, if necessary). Subsequently, readings will be recommended to allow for an initial outline of the work and Table of Contents. Methodological guidance will be provided, and an approximate deadline for completion will be set. This must be completed before December 4, 2026.
• Third session: The student's work outline will be reviewed and adjusted. An approximate deadline will be set for the submission of a fully drafted section of the TFG, including the critical apparatus and, if applicable, appropriate appendices. This text must not exceed 1/3 of the final length of the work. This must be completed before March 5, 2027.
• Fourth session: The tutor will provide detailed feedback on the drafted text (approximately 85% of the final result) so that the student is aware of both formal and content-related strengths and areas for improvement. The tutor will then authorize or deny the final submission of the TFG. This must be completed before May 14, 2027.

Beyond these, additional sessions may be held to resolve specific queries or for the establishment of final conclusions. The text will not be reviewed again before the final evaluation.

Each of these tutoring sessions must be recorded by signing a form provided by the course coordination. Student attendance at these four minimum sessions on the established dates is mandatory. Failure to comply with this rule results in the TFG not being evaluated. This will also be recorded in the TFG application.

At some point before the oral defense, professors must provide students with guidelines on the development of the event, including recommendations on how to best conduct the oral presentation. The oral defense of the TFG will take place on June 28 and 29, 2027.

According with the protocol of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, the assessment of the TFG in its written format and in its public presentation will be carried out by a teaching staff committee, the composition of which will be determined by the teaching committee of the History degree.

According with the decision of the \"Comissió de Docència del Grau d'Història\" approved on 3 July 2024, the final mark for each TFG is established on the basis of the following percentages:

-70% of the mark is assessed on the basis of the written report. Part of this mark will take into account the monitoring of tutorials throughout the course and the formal aspects of presentation of the TFG (spelling, syntactic or lexical correctness and written expression, bibliographical and documentary citations, use of terminology and historical vocabulary). A penalty of 0.10 points per syntactic or spelling mistake may be applied, up to a maximum of 2 points on the final mark. Repeated faults will be deducted. This percentage of the final mark will be fixed by the tutor and for another professor; both will draw up a reasoned report of the grade.

-The remaining 30% of the mark will be assessed on the basis of the public presentation of the TFG by the students before a teaching committee. The tutor of the written report doesn't take part of this committee. The subject coordination will publish the date and place of the public reading of the TFG. The presentation by the students will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes. The committee may ask questions and request clarifications on the TFG during the presentation, which will have a maximum total duration of 30 minutes.

As a guideline, the committee will take into account the expository values, instrumental resources and expressive sufficiency of the student, in accordance with the following points:

Orality. This involves assessing the aspects of the oral presentation(understandable explanation,correct and appropriate vocabulary, coherence of the discourse, gestures, explanatory rhythm, etc.). In general, the suitability of the way in which the dissertation is explained will be assessed;

Expository resources. This involves assessing the relationship between the discourse and the means used to facilitate its understanding: appropriateness and complexity of the computer or technical aids used, accuracy and correctness of the materials, originality and communicative novelty... In general, the aptitude in the choice and use of expository resources will be assessed;

Structure. This involves assessing the structure in the planning of the exhibition. In general, elements such as the balance between the ideas and theses presented, the clarity and time used, the rhythm of the discourse and the appropriate gestures will be considered;

Interest. This involves assessing the interest aroused by the presentation of the subject). In general, sufficiency and personality will be assessed in order to convince of the importance of the work and its results.

In the event that the public presentation cannot be made in person, the format will be adapted (maintaining the weighting) to the possibilities offered by the virtual tools of the UAB.

In relation to the awarding of the qualification of Matrícula de Honor (MH): from 9,5 as a final grade.

TFGs graded with MH may be published in the Digital Document Repository of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Students may request this, with the approval of the tutor, to the subject coordinator. The Libraries Service provides tutorials on the formal adaptation of the TFG to the requirements of digital publishing.

Any TFG that is not endorsed by the tutor, that does not meet the minimum or maximum formal length requirements, that has not complied with the tutorial calendar or that is not submitted in the established dates and formats will be considered \"Not assessable\". Any TFG that has not undergone the public presentation on the assigned date will also be considered \"Not evaluable\".

If the tutor or the committee detects plagiarism or the use of artificial intelligence in an inappropriate manner, it will communicate it to the coordination of the subject that can qualify the TFG to zero, in application of the commitment that the student signs at the time of enrolment to respect the rules on the originality of the work.

This subject allows the use of AI technologies exclusively for support tasks such as bibliographic or content-based searches and text correction or translations.

The student must clearly (i) identify which parts have been generated using AI technology; (ii) specify the tools used; and (iii) include a critical reflection on how these have influenced the process and final outcome of the activity.

Lack of transparency regarding the use of AI in the assessed activity will be considered academic dishonesty; the corresponding grade may be lowered, or the work may even be awarded a zero. In cases of greater infringement, more serious action may be taken.

Teachers will have to reason their qualifications. The FTT is subject to the same processes of ordinary reviewand extraordinary review of any other subject of the degree.

The tutor's approval is an essential requirement for the presentation of the final dissertation.

The TFG has only one call and cannot be recovered.

This subject does not incorporate single assessment.
