Learning activities and methodology

Title Hours ECTS Learning outcomes
Study 30 1.2
Master classes 35 1.4
Research and preparation of assignments 20 0.8
Reading papers 20 0.8

The learning process is based on lectures combined with student work. Student work involves studying, reading texts, researching documentation, and preparing assignments. It is the responsibility of the Lecturer to provide theoretical frameworks and problems, as well as appropriate guidance to provide students with the necessary tools for understanding legal issues and the methods to resolve them.

All of this will be realized through various activities in the classroom, preceded by student preparation: lectures, oral presentations, simulations and debates, practical case resolutions, jurisprudence discussions, etc. These activities will be specified in a schedule that will be posted on the Virtual Campus before the course begins.

Annotation: within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Ordinary Assessment

Consists of the following activities:

  • Case Study activity, Block I (10%) – No reassessment
  • Case Study activity, Block II (10%) – No reassessment
  • Case Study activity, Block III (10%) – No reassessment
  • Midterm Test, Block I (30%) – No reassessment
  • Final exam (40%) – Eligible for reassessment

At the beginning of the course, the professor will inform students about the content, characteristics, and scheduling of each activity.

All assessment activities will be conducted in person in the classroom. At the time of each assessment activity, the professor will inform students of the procedure and date for reviewing grades.

Single Assessment

Consists of the following evidence:

  • Final exam (50%)
  • Paper applying the knowledge of the subject agreed upon with the professor. This paper generates two separate pieces of evidence:
  • Written paper, completed during the course (25%)
  • Oral presentation (25%)

For the single assessment option, submission of the paper, completion of the exam, and oral presentations will take place on the date indicated in the course syllabus. All materials and communication will be available on the Virtual Campus.

Criteria for Passing the Course

To pass the course, students must obtain a final grade — calculated as the weighted average of all assessment evidence — higher than 5/10, while also obtaining a minimum grade of 3.5/10 on the synthesis exam.

Criteria for a "Not Assessable" Classification

Students will be classified as non-assessable when they have not provided sufficient evaluation evidence. This classification applies when a student has completed two or fewer evaluable activities and has not taken the synthesis exam.

Reassessment

Students may access the reassessment process if they do not pass the course overall (5/10) but have obtained a minimum of 3/10 on each piece of evidence, including the synthesis exam.

Reassessment consists of a comprehensive exam covering the entire course, which will determine 100% of the final grade.
