Objectives
Objectives and Contextualisation
A general tour of the main events and processes of change and continuity of the Humanity during the modern and contemporary eras is carried out with diverse thematic approaches of Historical Science (social, political, economic, gender, cultural, ideological) with special Emphasize everything that the archaeologist / archaeologist wants. A panorama of the history of the last centuries will be offered with a special look to archaeology topics. The archeology of the conflict will be especially analyzed.
Competences
- Contextualizing and analysing historical processes.
- Students must be capable of collecting and interpreting relevant data (usually within their area of study) in order to make statements that reflect social, scientific or ethic relevant issues.
- Students must have and understand knowledge of an area of study built on the basis of general secondary education, and while it relies on some advanced textbooks it also includes some aspects coming from the forefront of its field of study.

Methodology
The methodology that will be used will include theoretical classes, case discussions, practical day trips and a research work group. All of this must provide useful and optimal resources and instruments so that the student acquires knowledge and skills related to historical research in modern and contemporary eras applied to archaeology.
Otherwise, tools developed by students from other years will also be used to exchange doubts and ask questions. It is intended to develop to the maximum the student's curiosity in the field from an important conceptual and analytical basis:

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

-- Assessment activities submitted within the deadlines established by the subject teacher will be recovered; in no case may an exercise be submitted for the first time during the recovery period.
A student will only be considered "not presented" if he/she has submitted less than 30% of the assessable evidence of the total subject.
* PLAGIARISM or COPYING: In the event that the student commits any irregularity that could lead to a significant variation in the grade of an assessment act, this assessment act will be graded 0, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be instructed. In the event that several irregularities occur in the assessment acts of the same subject, the final grade for this subject will be 0.
In this subject, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is not allowed in any of its phases. Any work that includes fragments generated with AI will be considered a lack of academic honesty and will result in the activity being graded 0 and not being able to be recovered, or greater sanctions in serious cases.
* Provision of multiple scenarios: In the event that the tests cannot be done in person, their format will be adapted (maintaining their weighting) to the possibilities offered by the UAB's virtual tools. Homework, activities and class participation will be
done through forums, wikis and/or discussions of exercises through Teams, etc. The teacher will ensure that the Student can access them or will offer them alternative means, which are within their reach.
Students will have the right to review the results of the tests taken. The teaching staff will establish the mechanisms to do so in a timely manner.
Particular cases will be taken into account and will receive, as could not be otherwise, a particular treatment.
