Prerequisites

You must have passed at least two thirds of the total credits of the study plan (240 ECTS) Have passed all the subjects of the first and second year of the degree. In addition, it is also recommended to have passed the subject of Preventive Medicine and Public Health.“For this subject, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is permitted exclusively in support tasks, such as bibliographic or information searches, text correction or translations ... The student must clearly identify which parts have been generated with this technology, specify the tools used and include a critical reflection on how these have influenced the process and the final result of the activity. The lack of transparency in the use of AI in this assessable activity will be considered a lack of academic honesty and may lead to a partial or total penalty in the grade of the activity, or greater sanctions in serious cases.”
Objectives

The student must prepare the formulation of a research project to achieve the following objectives:To formulate a problem or research question identifying the different components of the statement.
To carry out a bibliographic review of the scientific evidence that exists on the chosen research problem.
To write the antecedents or theoretical framework, scientific basis of the research question.
To formulate the hypothesis and research objectives. To justify the usefulness and applicability of the research results.
To specify the appropriate methodology to achieve the research objectives.
To consider potential ethical conflicts.
To develop a work plan with a schedule that guarantees that the research project is viable over time.
To define the research team and estimate the budget.
Learning outcomes

- Write a review paper on a current topic in the field of medicine.

The evaluation of the Final Degree Thesis is based on the tutor's monitoring of the student's work and on the assessment made by a panel made up of 3 professors of the defense and oral presentation.The TFG qualification will consist of the following components,a. Tutor assessment. (0-10, 40% of the grade). It evaluates the involvement, rigor and commitment of the student to the work in addition to the rubrics of each tutoring session and the final report:The initial session (10%),Intermediate session/progress (25%)The final session (25%)Memory evaluation (40%).b. Evaluation of the court (0-10, 60% of the grade). It evaluates the work done by the student himself, as well as his communication skills and the ability to defend the work presented.(*) Conditions for calculating the final grade1. That the score of the initial evaluation session is equal to or higher than 5. In the case of a lower score, the student will not be able to continue the work and his qualification will be NON-ASSESSABLE.2. Considering that the first criterion is met, the other condition is that the score of the evaluation of the final session and of the evaluation of the memory is equal to or higher than 5. In the case of a score lower than l ' student will not be able to make the oral presentation and his qualification will be SUSPENDED.3. If the oral presentation and defense is in English, the increase of up to 0.5 points in the final grade will be considered
Students who do not take both the theoretical (report) and practical (oral presentation) assessment tests will be considered \"Not Evaluable\", exhausting their rights to enroll in the subject
* The proposed assessment may undergo some modification depending on the restrictions on attendance imposed by the health authorities.
This subject/module does not provide for the single assessment system.
The performance of any irregularity in an evaluation act (academic fraud, plagiarism or improper use of AI, unless this use is expressly authorized by the teaching guide), which may lead to a significant variation in the grade, assumes that this act will be graded with a 0. In the event that the teaching guide foresees that in order to pass the subject it is an essential requirement to have obtained a minimum grade in this evaluation act or that there are several irregularities in the evaluation acts of the same subject, the final grade of this subject is 0. Apart from this, a disciplinary process may be instructed to the student that incurs any of these irregularities.
