Prerequisites
Know the basic technical language associated with speech therapy; know the usual dynamics of a session of speech therapy. Be able to read and understand a scientific article in English.
Objectives
Know the clinical and general characteristics of some psychopathological disorders that occur in children and adults. The main objective is to study some of the most common mental disorders, in order to allow detection and referral to another professional if necessary, and in order to acquire the knowledge to adapt performance to the characteristics of each case.

CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
Ev1: Seminar 1 submission. 10% of the final grade. Group, written and on-site submission. Week 1 (group 111) and Week 2 (group 112).
Ev2: Seminar 2 submission. 10% of the final grade. Group, written and on-site submission. Week 5 (group 111) and Week 6 (group 112). Attendance at Seminars 2 and 3 is compulsory (group 111: Weeks 3 and 5; group 112: Weeks 4 and 6).
Ev3: Multiple-choice test. 40% of the final grade. Individual, written and on-site assessment. First assessment period.
Ev4: Multiple-choice test 2. 40% of the final grade. Individual, written and on-site assessment. Second assessment period.
Feedback
The course will be considered passed when the overall grade obtained from all assessment activities is 5.0 or higher (on a 0–10 scale) and a minimum grade of 4.0 has been obtained in each on-site assessment worth 20% or more of the final grade (Ev3 and Ev4). If these requirements are not met, the maximum final grade that will be recorded in the student's academic transcript will be 4.5.
Students who have completed assessment activities representing 40% or more of the final grade may not be recorded as "Not Assessable".
Final resit examination: Students who have not met the requirements to pass the course may take the resit examination provided that they have previously been assessed through activities accounting for at least two-thirds of the total course grade and have obtained a final mark of at least 3.5. The resit consists of a written examination covering the theoretical contents and seminar material of the course. The resit mark will only replace the original mark if it improves the student's final grade. The examination will take place during the resit assessment period.
Students enrolled for the second or subsequent time are not eligible to be assessed through a single, non-recoverable synthesis examination.
